BEEFY NOODLES!

They were a BIG hit.

It sure seems like life is getting crazier by the day! The kids are starting to copy everything we do. And they are on the run and into everything! I am slowly giving in and babyproofing things that I swore I would never touch. We have given up all hope at keeping a few adult things or nicer areas in the house. It is just a regular old day care now! But, it is really fun to see all three babies learn new things and say new things every day. I am starting to imagine how fun Christmas will be this year. Can't wait!

We had a wonderful visit with my aunt and uncle from Colorado this weekend. It was so fun to introduce them to the babies! And I hope we get to see them again someday soon. I lived in Colorado for several years and we spent a lot of time together. I do miss those beautiful mountains and miss you too Uncle Neal!

We then travelled to Miami to Pete's sister Laura and husband Jeff's house. And were able to meet our newest nephew Jackson. He is so cute! It was a familiar feeling to hold a tiny babe again. Big brother Colton is proud of him and gives him kisses and snuggles. Our three won't meet their little cousin until the end of October. I think we need to work on learning "gentle" pretty darn fast!!

He is a perfect little bundle and makes a beautiful family of four! We love you guys!!!

It's been a great week! Our nephew Jackson was born on Monday night. We will be driving to Miami to meet him tomorrow and I promise to take and post pictures! Our babies now have four boy cousins. No girls yet! Reagan still holds her status as princess. And she plays the part quite well!

I got a new Nikon D3100 this week. So you should be expecting lots of pictures! I love it and can't wait to do something fun with our photos.

We have been enjoying some arts and crafts time this week. The kids are starting to LOVE stickers and scribbling on paper and tables and walls, with a little crayon eating in the mix. It's just fun to try new activities and watch these kids grow and change every day.

SHOTS!! I hate the doctor's appointments when the babies get their shots. UGH! But, we survived once again. And now they are old enough to get cookies from the doctor to make it ALL BETTER. We have been blessed with a couple of wonderful friends from our church that volunteer their time and help me out for a few hours every week. I have a chance to run to the grocery store or get my hair cut. It's a huge help!! The kids enjoy spending time with their "aunties". This is Nancy and she was lucky enough to come along for shot day today. She is a wonderful cuddler. We consider her part of our family and are thankful to have her in our lives!!!

We had another fun filled day and enjoyed visiting the Florida Aquarium in Tampa. The kids LOVED seeing the "Fissshhhhhhh". And we enjoyed spending a day in the A/C and out of the 94 degree heat! We tried eating at the Cheesecake Factory with the triplets. And...well...it's not such a kid friendly place! We survived, I had one of their amazing Mojitos (or two), and we have cheesecake for tonight. The kids were as good as they could be. I just need to be more assertive and tell the hostess to have the high chairs at the table before we are escorted there. And maybe removing knives, moving tables together, etc, etc. We are learning. Slowly but surely!

It just happens to be my 35th birthday. That sounds old. But this was a much better celebration than the chaos of my 25th birthday on 9/11/01. While remembering all of the people lost in the 9/11 attacks, I feel extra thankful for the friends and family I have in my life. Cheers to another great year!

Here are a few aquarium pictures.

Silly Babies

So, my beautiful little babies are not always so angelic! Who would have imagined? I am really struggling with discipline! They think the word "no" is the funniest thing on earth. And the more firm I say it the more firm they repeat it and the louder they laugh. UGH! They are so much faster than I am. And I don't have octopus arms to pluck them all three away from danger at the same time. We bought three little rugs at IKEA that were perfect little "naughty mats". But at 15 months, they only sit on the mat with mommy or daddy and will not stay on it alone. As a triplet that is constantly craving attention, this naughty mat time with us is a treat! LORD HELP US! As my mom always says, "Good thing they are cute!"

The kids are all sick today. This is a fairly common problem in our house. Today it is a stomach bug of some sort and I will spare you the details. Speaking of stomachs... I am not and have certainly never been a good cook. Or wait, maybe it is that I just haven't ever even tried. So, my new hobby is trying to figure out how to cook dinner for my family and not kill anyone in the process. With three toddlers running around under my feet it is more of a challenge than you could imagine! The crockpot seems the safest way to experiment right now. So far I have made chili, some sort of sausage and potato mix, chicken and dumplings and a roast. No one has complained about the food yet! Now that I have some of my husband's meat and potato meals figured out, I need to look into some healthier recipes. We have taught the babies to say MMMMMMM!!!! with every bite. And whether they mean it or not, the first three little MMMM's make me very proud. Today is beef stew. Wish us luck!

We made our way to Lowry Park Zoo again this weekend. It is great to get the kids out of the house and air them out! They are just now starting to realize there are animals at the zoo. And it's their 3rd trip. Although they seem to think every animal says ROARRRRRR!!!! Too cute.

Here we go! I am going to try blogging about our lives once again. I did a LOT of thinking and contemplating while I was pregnant with our triplets. I had a lot to say. And these past 15 months with our babies have been quite an adventure. I am sure I could write a book about our experiences with triplets. But, I have been TOO busy to think. I am starting to realize that my blurbs on facebook aren't giving me the satisfaction that blogging used to. I love sharing our story and organizing my thoughts. So, we will try it again. Let me know what you think!
